Having spent time travelling across the South of America, and inspired by some of the best BBQ restaurants in the world, our CEO and head chef Billy Reeve had one goal upon returning to England: replicate that authentic smoke, texture, and flavour with which he’d fallen in love in the States, but with a twist - make it vegan.

He diligently studied traditional Southern cooking methods and worked tirelessly to replicate much-loved staples of the Southland. Before long, his labour bore fruit: Stoked Vegan BBQ was born, and Billy maneuvered himself to the forefront of original vegan cuisine in the process.

Though initially a pop-up food stall showcased at various events around the country, Stoked has gone from strength to strength, and now serves its local community in Westcliff-on-Sea in Essex in style, having opened as a fully-fledged restaurant in August 2020.

Every recipe is thoughtfully crafted in-house and made with ingredients of the highest quality – sourced only from local suppliers – and our reputation for exceptional, authentic barbecue-style vegan food hasn’t just captivated the locals, but visitors from all over the world too!

And what’s more, our menu is constantly updated (roughly every 6-8 weeks) with new dishes thoughtfully crafted, and fastidiously presented from conception to the table. It’s no surprise that we’re constantly selling out of our one-of-a-kind meals; you’ve got to get them before they’re gone!

Not content with simply changing the vegan dining landscape, Stoked is also home to an extensive and carefully curated vegan craft beer selection that sees us importing the finest craft beers from the US, including Treehouse, Fidens, Russian River, Monkish, Freak Folk, Alchemist, Brujos, Troon, and many more. But if beer isn’t your thing, there are plenty of original cocktails – or a glass of red or white from the meticulously assembled wine list – to choose from.
